Lower the heat to a simmer, and mix the allspice. Cook until sweet potatoes are tender, for about 10 minutes. Remove pan from heat, then remove the cloves. Using a hand blender, smash the soup until completely smooth. Just that, the sweet potato soup is now ready to dish up as your baby food.
