It is pretty much obvious you have come across thousands of horror stories of short sale deals gone sour. Zero communication – if you find a short sale agent who does not communicate actively with you and all the other parties involved, you might want to drop the agent before the deal goes any far. Poor communication on the part of the agent causes a lot of problems… starting with the buyer walking away because they lost faith in the transaction and the deal negotiator being stuck because there is no feedback from the short sale agent. You should gauge the level of involvement and professionalism in a short sale agent before hiring them.
